About

Who is Ronald Slamet?

Ronald Slamet, commonly known in the Superbike racing scene as “The Red Baron” was born in the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek, on the 10th of February 1988.

Ronald is an overall adrenaline junkie and someone who is very determined to reach his overall goals set out for himself.

Always very fond of motorsport from a very young age, Ronald and his Dad, Ronald Slamet Snr, have competed in various codes, namely motocross, go-karts, and superbikes.

Fortunately, one day by the Grace of God, he was given the opportunity to take part in a local race by his Dad. Ronald fell in love with bikes as soon as he rode one for the first time in his younger years and clinched his very first junior motocross championship as a rookie at the age of 10 years old that same year.

Ronald now lives and thrives on creating and building a platform for others to also get the opportunity he once got. “I believe if it was not for the one opportunity I got, I would never have found what I am truly passionate about and lived out throughout my career thus far. I am forever grateful for that.” – Ronald Slamet

The quote “God leads, I follow” is something that he strongly believes in and uses to drive his motivation day by day.

“The Ronald Slamet Racing Academy (RSRA) has been a dream of mine for years. I love working with people. I thrive when I see those I assist do good and that’s why I started the Academy. Safety and the ability to do something good and build experience while doing it in our everyday lives are overlooked on so many occasions. RSRA is there to build that foundation for a safe riding or racing career.”

Our philosophy

We ask, “What are the best riders in the world doing to apply their skill to thrive on two wheels?”. Where you ride, what you ride and at what speed you ride is a distant priority to how you ride. Don’t worry about the bike you are on – let us work on safety and the rider riding the bike.
